Verona was a breath of fresh air compared to gloomy Milan. There is a mini Roman Colosseum in the city center, beautiful red and yellow architecture, elegant shopping and decent restaurants. And of course there is the Romeo and Juliet connection. There is Juliet’s house – a case of marketing for tourists started in 1936. A balcony falsely claiming historical ties to the fictional lovers has become a tourist attraction for lovers; the hallway to the courtyard is covered with slips of paper carrying their graffiti, and a bronze statue of Juliet is under the balcony, one breast shiny from people touching it for luck.
Roma and Natalia are world travelers, photographers, and an all around fun couple. When they are not travelling far away continents or driving around USA in their trusted Highlander, they can be found in San Francisco, California.
