Halloween in Moab

Halloween in Moab

Spent Halloween evening in the parking lot of a rodeo - parents from all over Moab drove their kids there in costume, parked a few hundred cars in a giant circle, and kids went from open trunk to open trunk trick-or-treating. A local retired boy scout leader educated us about barrel races at the rodeo (horse riders avoiding barrels) and the mormon church, which he urged us to investigate and consider joining. What do you pack for an indefinite trip?

When we took our first vacations a few years ago, we would be packing the night before at 2am after a few celebratory drinks. We remember the frantic mental state of OMG I NEED TO PACK EVERYTHING. We would end up with a huge suitcase full of every nice piece of club and beach wear [...]

Turns out Utah due to a large population of Mormon faith, and more likely explanation now days a gov monopoly on strong alky, sells all the good beer at the gov controlled liquor store. Doh!! Glacier National Park – Montana

Glacier National Park – Montana

In a stark contrast to the grass plains that we drove through, the mountains rise up out of the plains, mysterious and enveloped in a shrowd of clouds. The peaks are part of the Rockies mountain range. The name [...]

Contemplating Packing Methods

Contemplating Packing Methods

Last night we were pulled over by a cop in Boulder, who asked us if we were moving, since all of our stuff was obstructing the rear view. Not sure if that is illegal, but I said yes, moving across the country. He let us off with a warning to re-arrange stuff. We saw this [...]
